Martin Carman, “The Computer Doctor”
If there was a medical degree in computer physiology, Martin Carman would have it. Founder and Principal of Synaptic Systems, Martin has been working with computers since 1966.
Martin came to Los Angeles in 1980 to work for a modular computer systems vendor in the financial services industry. The job was short-lived as his employer left the computer systems business. In 1988, he established Synaptic Systems, to service existing clients.
By 1998 he was working for the systems group of one of the largest California savings banks, where he was responsible for the computer systems running the branch network. He retired from CitiGroup in 2004. Shortly thereafter, he reactivated Synaptic Systems as a computer support company. Martin is certified by Microsoft and Novell in network operating systems.
